Kaepernick Jersey Sales Spike With Protest
Colin Kaepernick Jerseys - Top Seller in NFL Store
In the wake of his protest of the National Anthem, Colin Kaepernick’s jerseys have become the #1 selling jersey this NFL season. In response, he has offered to donate all the proceeds from his jersey sales back into the communities plus the first $1 million of this year’s salary. Today, 49ers owner Jed York announced that he will follow Kaepernick’s lead and donate $1 million dollars to organizations that work to fight racial inequality and to improve relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Brandon Marshall, linebacker for the Denver Broncos and a college teammate of Colin at University of Nevada Reno, took a knee during the National Anthem to show his support before the 2016 NFL opener against the Carolina Panthers. Furthermore, the Seattle Seahawks may consider taking action as an entire team to support Kaepernick’s protest.
