If you’re one of the thousands who picked up the new iPhone 8 or 8 Plus on Friday, you may be in the market for a new case to protect your $1000 investment.
However – did you know that the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have the exact same dimensions as the 7 and 7 Plus, so their cases are interchangeable? And that the newly released iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are only slightly larger – the 8 is 0.1mm longer and 0.2mm wider, while the 8 Plus is 0.2mm longer and wider?
For reference, 0.1mm is as thick as a strand of hair or a piece of paper. What this means is that your iPhone 6 or iPhone 7 cases should have no problems fitting on your new iPhone 8. Need more assurance? Even Apple sells the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 cases interchangeably.
